Eleanor Rose is an illustrator and printmaker based in Bristol. Originally from Somerset, she studied at the University of the West of England, receiving a first-class undergraduate degree in Illustration in 2023. 

Eleanor is currently participating in a graduate mentorship scheme with Artworks Illustration Agency called Startworks. This programme offers new graduates a year of mentoring, real-world briefs and jobs to gain industry experience. 

Eleanor’s work combines traditional relief printing methods with digital editing and colouring to create a visual language which is simultaneously traditional and modern. This hybrid approach results in a process which is both adaptable and versatile.

Her work often explores themes of nature and sustainability, with a particular focus on bringing attention to the beauty of her surroundings. Her immediate and eye-catching style has made her work popular with publishers and brands alike.

Eleanor received the Rod Coleman scholarship in 2022, was ‘highly commended’ by Macmillan in their Prize for Illustration 2023, and was longlisted for the World Illustration Awards 2023.
